We are also including the faculty team’s response to the CEC’s recent “Strike Vote FAQ”, in which we address some of the misleading statements that have recently been published by the CEC in advance of the strike mandate vote. December 11, 2021 – College faculty vote 59.4% in favour of strike mandate. Please see Strike Vote Results for more details.
December 12, 2021 – Unfortunately, the Colleges and CEC team have rejected faculty’s offer to extend the existing Collective Agreement until at least January 3, and have opted to impose terms and conditions of their choosing on Monday, December 13. Faculty will be providing the required 5-day notice of labour action to the CEC as a result, and can begin work-to-rule, which will begin first with the union Locals, as of December 18. December 13, 2021 – Starting today, the Colleges have imposed terms and conditions. The faculty team provides details about the terms and conditions in their Bargaining Update. Work action will commence on December 18th.
December 17, 2021 – OPSEU/SEFPO stands in support of college faculty members.
