One of our colleagues on the Divisional Executive reports that their college has informed members that the benefit year for vision and hearing coverage will be changing.
According to the official response received from their management:
The current benefit year for Vison Care is from September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2022. With the Vision Care year change, employees will receive a new entitlement for Vision Care effective January 1, 2022, nine months earlier than they would have normally received it. If someone purchased glasses in October 2021, they would be eligible for new glasses as of January 1, 2022.
